Free Sprintometer client supports just 3 pre-defined work types typical for IT projects called 'Coding', 'Testing' and 'Management'. However sometimes project team includes additional roles like 'DB analyst', 'Configuration Manager', 'Designer', 'Business Analyst' etc. therefore Sprintometer Pro additionally supports user defined work types which can be configured on Project level in 'General' tab. Actually with this feature you can use application not only for management of IT projects but for any work which can be originally estimated, split into User Stories/Tasks and daily tracked like flat reparation, house assembling etc.
Aslo the new version 5.00 of Sprintometer Pro supports any national characters for all project data like Sprint Name, User Story Description, Task Name etc. (full unicode support) which simplifies usage of this SCRUM tool by international teams of developers and in offshore mode of agile projects.
To start usage of Sprintometer Pro you can download file SprintometerPro.zip which does not require any installation. Just extract file into a separate subdirectory and run SprintometerPro.exe.
Alternatively you can download true setup program SprintometerProSetup.exe and run it for standard installation process.
While Sprintometer is a freeware Sprintometer Pro is distributed as shareware but trial period is really long – 90 days which allows enough time to finish middle size SCRUM project.
